Question: I need advise with my baby car seat?

My baby is 7 months old and weighs 17lbs and is 27 1/2 inches, When I get ready to go somewhere and place him in the car (in his car seat facing the back) I've noticed that his feet touch the back seat, and as a result, he cannot stretch his legs because they are pressed against the back seat. What am I supposed to do?

You have five months to go until you can flip him forward facing. I think it's OK as long as he is not too cramped up. If his legs are bent slightly, that should be OK. My son was like that for a month or two...just resting his feet on the back of the seat and a slight bend in his knee. If it's a major problem and uncomfortable (and because it might get worse over the next 4+ months)...you might want to look into a deeper convertible seat that will alleviate the problem for a few months. Not great for the wallet...but something to consider. Or ask one of the car seat installers at the police station or fire station for advice...they might have a recommendation for you.
